Are you an automation engineer looking for a workplace that offers challenging projects, development opportunities, and a strong team spirit? Then AUTECH is looking for you! We are recruiting on a rolling basis, apply today!
About the role
AUTECH in Örebro is a growing player in building and industrial automation, focusing on advanced and sustainable control systems. The Örebro office was established in 2023 and currently consists of an engaged team passionate about new technology and valuing community, both in and out of the workplace. As part of our continued growth, we are now looking for another colleague to join the team.
As an automation engineer at AUTECH, you play a central role in the execution of projects, responsible for the process from idea to commissioning. Projects vary from large-scale contracts to specific technical solutions, such as developing, designing, and optimizing control systems for buildings, industries, and other facilities. You are assigned projects based on your experience and interests, allowing you to develop within the areas you are passionate about. Depending on your experience level, there are also good opportunities to take on or grow into a project management role.
The role also involves practical field work. You will be involved in troubleshooting, commissioning, and installation in technical rooms, as well as wiring in control cabinets. For larger contracts, you will collaborate with external electricians for cable pulling, but you will have overall technical responsibility for the project. The role involves business travel as needed, as some projects may be located outside of Örebro.
What we offer
- A strong team spirit that values having fun together, both on and off the job, through regular after-work events and annual kick-offs/conferences abroad with the entire group.
- The opportunity to work on projects that appeal to your interests and skills.
- Colleagues who enjoy their work and drive success together through their engagement!
- Excellent development opportunities in a growing company where you get the chance to develop at your own pace, whether you are at the beginning of your career or more senior.
Responsibilities
- Design and electrical drawings: Create electrical drawings as well as operation and installation diagrams for the systems.
- PLC programming: Develop, program, and optimize control systems for both buildings and industrial environments.
- Commissioning and field work: Work practically in the field with installations, wiring in control cabinets, as well as troubleshooting and testing of technical rooms.
- Technical project responsibility: Drive projects from idea to final delivery, which includes construction meetings, customer contact, and collaboration with external electricians. Depending on your experience level, pure project management responsibilities will be phased in over time.
We are looking for you who
- Have a background in automation or electrical engineering – for example, through relevant education, experience from a similar engineering role in the industry, or as a service electrician with an interest in control and regulation technology.
- Hold a valid driver's license (Category B).
- Are a Swedish citizen.
It is an advantage if you have
- Experience with Webport.
- Knowledge of Saia, Beckhoff, or other relevant PLC programming tools.
- Previous experience in project management or team leadership.
To succeed in the role, you have the following personal qualities:
- Goal-oriented.
- Organized.
- Responsible.
- Helpful.
