Job Description
We are looking for a strategic Requirements Analyst with experience in IT-related requirements engineering within complex business environments. The role involves working at the intersection of business, IT, architecture, and security, with a focus on major procurements and projects within sectors such as traffic, vehicles, and construction.
You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, structuring, and quality-assuring IT-related requirements and contractual terms. The assignment covers both functional and non-functional requirements, including information and IT security. The role requires the ability to create structure and momentum in complex and changing contexts with many dependencies and stakeholders.
The work is carried out in close collaboration with requirements managers, architects, specialists, product owners, and business representatives. The role also involves contributing to a unified IT perspective in larger procurements and business-oriented initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, formulate, and secure buy-in for IT-related requirements.
- Develop and quality-assure requirements specifications and contractual terms.
- Work with both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Ensure that requirements engineering aligns with business goals, IT strategy, security requirements, and legal guidelines.
- Coordinate and maintain a cohesive requirements picture in complex IT environments.
- Facilitate workshops and information gathering with various stakeholders.
- Collaborate with architects, security functions, product owners, specialists, and external parties.
- Contribute to structure and progress in projects with uncertain or changing conditions.
- Ensure a clear and consistent IT perspective throughout the entire procurement and project process.
- Participate in the development and revision of requirements specifications in line with changing needs and quality assurance.
Required Qualifications
- At least 4 years of full-time documented experience as a Requirements Analyst or in a similar IT role. The work must have included needs assessment, requirements gathering, and the creation of requirements specifications or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of full-time documented experience in requirements analysis of technology-adjacent non-functional requirements related to IT (e.g., IT security, architecture, operational reliability).
- At least 1 year of full-time documented experience working with the complexity of a larger system environment (at least 50 IT systems/applications or equivalent).
- At least 1 year of full-time documented experience facilitating and leading information gathering in the form of workshops or equivalent.
- Documented experience from at least 2 previous assignments of writing and compiling formal documents such as contracts or procurement documents.
Desirable Qualifications
- At least 1 year of full-time documented experience in developing requirements specifications for public sector procurements.
- Certification in requirements engineering, IREB CPRE, or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of full-time documented experience working with requirements in complex IT projects with a large project organization (> 50 people involved).
- At least 2 years of full-time documented experience in requirements management within IT, meaning leading requirements work across multiple projects, departments, or equivalent. The experience must include all of the following activities, performed by the consultant themselves: - Leadership, planning, driving, and coordinating requirements activities. - Acting as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) for requirements elicitation and documentation. The experience must be within the last ten years and verifiable via CV and personal reference.
- At least 2 years of full-time documented experience in IT requirements work at a strategic level, meaning high-level requirements (not for a specific solution). The experience must include all of the following activities, performed by the consultant themselves: - Business, needs, and requirements analysis. - Hands-on work in requirements elicitation and documentation. The experience must be within the last ten years and verifiable via CV and personal reference.
