Your Role

In the role of teacher, you will teach students in grades 7–9 in mathematics and Natural Sciences. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching in your subjects according to the curriculum. You adapt the teaching to meet the students' needs, interests, and prerequisites. You follow up, assess, grade, and document students' knowledge development. The role also includes mentorship. You are responsible for building trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Creating the right conditions for students requires close collaboration with other teachers, the student health team, and school leadership.

You belong to the lower secondary school team and work closely with subject colleagues in mathematics and Natural Sciences. You collaborate on students, planning, assessment, grading, pedagogical development work, and systematic quality work. There is room to influence and develop teaching based on interest, knowledge, and experience.

Your Experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• A teaching license with subject competence for grades 7–9 in mathematics and Natural Sciences.
• Good digital competence with experience working with digital pedagogical tools.
• Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

The following qualifications are meritorious:

• Subject competence for grades 7–9 in subjects other than mathematics and Natural Sciences, preferably Technology.
• Experience working as a teacher.
• Experience teaching students in grades 7–9.
• Experience with mentorship.
• Experience with collegial learning and team-based work.
• Experience with assessment and documentation in digital systems.
• Experience working with students requiring additional adjustments.
• Experience working with differentiated teaching.
• Interest in school development and pedagogical education.

What We Offer

Ektorp School is an F–9 school with approximately 550 students. In August, we moved into a completely new school building with modern and welcoming learning environments, which we share with Ektorp's Adapted Primary School and Skuru-Duvnäs Resource School.
