Your Role

In the role of a teacher in Spanish and Home Economics, you will teach students in grades 6–9. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction in your subjects based on the national curriculum. You adapt teaching to meet students' needs, interests, and prerequisites. You monitor, assess, grade, and document students' knowledge development. The role also includes mentorship. You are responsible for building trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Creating the right conditions for students requires close collaboration with other teachers, the student health team, and school leadership.

You belong to the middle school team and work closely with your grade-level colleagues and subject colleagues in modern languages and Home Economics. You collaborate on students, planning, assessment, grading, pedagogical development work, and systematic quality work. There is room to influence and develop teaching based on interest, knowledge, and experience.

Your Experience

For this position, you must have:

• Teacher certification with subject eligibility for grades 6–9 in Spanish and Home Economics.
• Experience working as a teacher in Spanish and Home Economics within grades 6–9.
• Strong digital competence and experience working with digital pedagogical tools.

The following qualifications are meritorious:

• Subject eligibility in multiple subjects.

• Experience with collegial learning and team-based work.
• Experience with assessment and documentation in digital systems.
• Experience working with students requiring additional adjustments.

Ektorp School is a K–9 school with approximately 550 students.
