1. Technical Writer – Technical Information

The client develops and manufactures world-leading gas turbines and steam turbines for a global market. The company also delivers complete turbine-based power plants for long-term sustainable and cost-effective production of electricity, steam, and heat. The turbines are also sold as drive sources for compressors and pumps, primarily within the oil and gas industry. A comprehensive service organization covers all delivered products and plant systems.

2. What you will be a part of

The Technical Information department currently consists of approximately 45 driven and friendly colleagues working with technical information for gas turbines and heat pumps. We create, manage, and deliver a large number of information products and manuals to both internal and external customers. We have a strong focus on developing our processes, systems, and information products.

You have very good system familiarity and an unimpeded ability to search for and gather information. You are open, non-hierarchical, and communicative in all respects. As a technical information specialist, you need to be creative and productive when developing new information products. You must be able to write and explain pedagogically how the technology works and how the systems interconnect in a way that enables efficient and safe use of the products.

Furthermore, you will maintain and develop standard templates and classification trees in our CMS system, as well as produce project-specific instructions.

3. Profile

To thrive in this role, we see that you are a person with developed system familiarity and an unimpeded ability to search for and gather information and materials from various technical specialists within the company, structure, verify, and compile the content for the intended target audience. You are a quick learner, receptive, patient, and can produce content in an efficient and meticulous manner.

• You have a post-secondary education, university degree, or university college education with a focus on information technology. Data or computer science is an advantage.
• You have a few years of work experience in the field of technical information and feel confident creating new content independently.
• You have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• You have experience working with topic-based authoring, DITA, and XML.
• You approach problems and challenges that may arise in a patient and structured manner.
• You are flexible and non-hierarchical.
