Region Properties (Regionfastigheter) within Region Halland is now seeking a Project Manager with a focus on maintenance projects, investment projects, and operation-initiated projects in hospitals and healthcare facilities within the Halmstad hospital areas, according to the local supply plans for the various hospital areas.

We are looking for you with experience in leading projects and who is inspired by challenges in complex, technology-intensive environments. You will be part of a cohesive team with the department manager, project director, and other project managers. The role will also involve great opportunities to work with others to shape how Region Properties will work in a future-oriented manner. Region Properties serves the hospital areas with qualified project management services from feasibility studies to project handover.

Job Description and Role

In the role of Project Manager, you will lead, plan, resource, monitor, and coordinate all activities and functions with relevant parties within a project. You are responsible for ensuring the project is carried out in accordance with Region Properties' construction project management process, current legislation, the assignment description, and supplementary directives from the project owner, as well as for the project's governing documents.

As a Project Manager in the Local Supply Plan Halland New Healthcare Environments (HNV) Hospital Area, you will have a key role in a unique and complex project with significant societal impact. You lead the project group and its sub-projects in an engaged, goal-oriented, and communicative way, creating conditions for the project to develop sustainably and long-term. The projects in the local supply plan are in the planning phase, with sub-projects expected to have construction start in 2027.

Further responsibilities include:

• Responsibility for the project achieving established goals regarding time, quality, environment, and economy
• Responsibility for reporting project status and goal achievement to the project owner, as well as to the department manager or project director
• Responsibility for continuously leading, planning, and monitoring the project through all stages and reporting this in the project plan and self-control
• Responsibility for ensuring the project is implemented according to Region Properties' construction project management process and its sub-processes in all stages
• Responsibility for ensuring the right competence is present in the project
• Responsibility for handover to the project owner at the end of the assignment

The position is located in Halmstad.

About the Workplace

Region Properties is a department within the Region Office's finance department. We are primarily responsible for construction, property management, and rental issues. This means we actively support the region's operations with suitable premises, good environment, and adapted infrastructure. Our operations can also be expressed in properties and square meters: health centers, hospitals, schools, dental clinics, and psychiatric clinics. In total, 440,000 square meters with many and varied construction projects and approx. 90 leased contracts.

Qualifications

For this role, we are looking for you who have at least 5-10 years of relevant experience from complex project management, preferably in environments with ongoing operations.

• Relevant university or college education, for example as a civil engineer or higher college engineer, or other education that the employer deems equivalent
• Experience from large and complex urban development, construction, or infrastructure projects in the implementation phase or programs that have lasted for several years; experience with complex organizational structures and technology-intensive projects is meritorious
• At least 5 years of experience from the civil engineering sector with experience working as a project manager in advanced project environments
• Experience of budget and operational responsibility; personnel responsibility is meritorious
• Good knowledge of contract law and the Public Procurement Act (LOU).
• Meritorious is experience and knowledge of different procurement/business and implementation forms that are common within the civil engineering sector
• Experience of established project methodologies or project tools
• Experience and habit of compiling information and presenting it in various management forums.
• Meritorious is experience of reporting to boards or political organizations
