About the role

We are looking for you who want to be part of a dynamic and experienced team at our short-term care unit at Silvergruvan Nursing and Care Home. Silvergruvan is an academic residence where you will have the opportunity to contribute your experience and competence.

The short-term care units in the City of Gothenburg support patients when they need to regain, maintain, or improve their ability to manage daily life, thereby enabling them to continue living at home. In 90% of cases, patients come from hospitals where they are classified as medically finished treatment but cannot manage at home. Within the short-term care units, the patient flow for admission and discharge is high, and patients stay between 14–20 days. The short-term care units also care for patients waiting for nursing and care homes.

We offer you a varied job ranging from intensive rehabilitation to palliative care. As a nurse, you will have overall responsibility for the care of the patients you are assigned. This includes making your own assessments, taking samples, wound dressing, medication management, injections, diabetes care, and other common tasks. You are one of six nurses who, together with nursing staff, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, doctors, pharmacists, and unit managers, create good and equal care and ensure that patients get an optimal life situation.

About you

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse. To thrive in the role, we would like you to have a few years of experience as a nurse. A B-class driver's license is a requirement for the position.

The position involves both independent work and teamwork. Therefore, it is required that you understand the common mission, act based on it, and contribute to the whole, while also being able to act and make decisions on your own when the situation requires it. An important part of your mission is the meeting with the patient and their relatives. Good treatment is therefore essential; you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. We also expect you to take responsibility for common tasks with the patients' best interests in focus. You take your tasks seriously, are keen on completing what you have started, and ensure that the work is done correctly.
