Wasaskolan is located just next to large green areas with a newly renovated schoolyard for recess activities. Inside, you will find a well-maintained, cozy school with bright premises, ample natural light, and a brand-new cafeteria. We also have a nice school library with a trained librarian where students can sit and read or borrow books. Wasaskolan is a grades F-9 school with approximately 550 students.

We also have an adapted primary school section in the middle and upper grades, which provides good opportunities for integration. Here, you will meet a large student health team, efficient administration, and maintenance services. All of this is to ensure that you, as a teacher, have the best possible support around the classroom. Together, the approximately 80 staff members working at the school form a strong team.

Your Responsibilities

You will join as a project-employed teacher in the lower primary school (grades 1-3) and will be responsible for and conduct teaching together with two other colleagues in a multi-teacher model. The project runs for two years with a possible option for extension. You will conduct teaching with a special focus on early reading and writing acquisition in an inspiring, exciting, developmental, and inclusive manner, keeping the students' development and learning in focus.

The position also includes other usual teacher duties such as collegial collaboration, assessment, conferences, and contact with guardians. You will focus on the quality of teaching through recurring reflection and analysis of pedagogical leadership as well as goal- and result-based management. You are part of the F-3 work team where you support and help each other in the social work regarding students and plan towards achieving the highest possible goal fulfillment.

Who are you?

Requirements:

• Degree with teacher certification, specializing in teaching grades 1-3 with specific knowledge in early reading and writing acquisition.
• You are well-acquainted with the school as an organization and are familiar with assignments and governing documents.
• You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
• You are comfortable communicating with students, guardians, and colleagues in a way where you take responsibility for the message and ensure the recipient understands what you mean.
• We assume that you are a secure adult who has the ability to support all students in their development towards their abilities and has good competence to meet all children based on their prerequisites and needs.
