For our client Siemens Energy, a leading global player in the energy industry, we are now looking for a Cost Engineer – Generators & Power Electronics for an assignment at their site in Finspång.

Thanks to high-tech and innovative product development, the company is an established partner in the energy sector, delivering advanced and sustainable solutions for the market's current and future needs.

This assignment offers you the opportunity to work in an international and forward-looking environment with many development possibilities.

This is initially a 12-month consulting assignment via Unik Resurs, with very good opportunities for extension.

We apply rolling selection, which means the assignment may be filled earlier than the final application date.

Tasks and Responsibilities

As a Cost Engineer, you will drive various projects and improvement initiatives with the goal of creating transparency regarding cost and value drivers throughout the entire value chain. The role involves close collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers, where you contribute with analyses, recommendations, and strategic improvement proposals.

In the role, you will among other things:

• Lead initiatives within Cost & Value Engineering to strengthen competitiveness and profitability.
• Create cost and value transparency for products, solutions, and supplier scope through should-costing methodology.
• Support target setting and Design-to-Cost activities based on customer needs, competitor analyses, and technical requirements.
• Conduct should-cost analyses and evaluate supplier offers to enable well-founded sourcing decisions.
• Identify and drive cost-out initiatives through workshops, innovation, design-for-manufacturing, and efficiency projects.
• Monitor activities in cost management tools and present recommendations to various stakeholders and management.

Your Profile

• Engineering degree, preferably at the master's level.
• Experience in Cost & Value Engineering or similar cost analytical work.
• Good knowledge of should-costing and cost optimization.
• Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of cost drivers.
• Very good skills in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication skills and experience in international collaboration.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience with tools such as TcPCM, aPriori, MLPP, CBD, or NX.
• Experience in project management and supplier negotiations.
• Knowledge within heavy industrial manufacturing, such as machining, forging, casting, welding/fabrication, or electronics production.
