Do you want to contribute to better health for all?
The Department of Global Public Health is an interdisciplinary institution with the goal of deepening knowledge on how population health can be improved at the local, national, and global levels. Many of the institution's researchers serve as scientific advisors to authorities and other decision-makers at regional, national, and international levels. The department is responsible for three international master's programs, and the researchers actively participate in teaching at undergraduate, advanced, and doctoral levels. The department comprises 12 research groups, approximately 120 doctoral students, and around 140 employees.
This position contributes to strengthening a long-term research line on how low-value care can be phased out within healthcare. As more organizations strive for evidence-based practices and aim to reduce the use of low-value care, the project positions the research group PROCOME as a key partner in this development.
Your role
We are looking for a research assistant for a period of 3 months (20% of full-time) to contribute to ongoing research focused on phasing out low-value care within healthcare. You will primarily contribute to a scoping review of the literature regarding low-value care.
As a research assistant, you will:
- Assist with updating a literature search
- Screen and assess abstracts from the search
- Read and review full-text articles
- Extract and compile data from included studies
- Participate regularly in consensus meetings
- Support other tasks related to the review work
Who are you?
The position is particularly well-suited for a student or someone early in their career with an interest in healthcare research, especially within the area of low-value care.
Requirements:
- You are currently studying or have recently completed a medical degree program.
- You must have documented experience with central aspects of a scoping review, such as screening abstracts, reviewing full-text articles, and data extraction.
- You have knowledge of low-value interventions and phasing out.
- Fluent proficiency in Swedish (spoken and written) and very good proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Merits:
- Knowledge of the organization of healthcare.
- Documented knowledge of evidence-based practice.
As a person, we see that you work carefully, structured, and solution-oriented. You have the ability to work well in a team as well as independently. Great importance will be placed on personal qualities.
