Teacher of Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language (SvA), and English, Grades 4–9

We are looking for you who are a confident leader and passionate about opening doors to new worlds through Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language (SvA), and English. You want to help create an stimulating, structured, and inclusive learning environment where students' linguistic self-confidence can grow. With a conscious language-developing approach, you awaken students' curiosity and desire to learn.

About the Position

As a teacher of Swedish/SvA and English, you are responsible for teaching in grades 4–9. Your role involves planning and conducting teaching based on scientific evidence, placing spoken and written language at the center.

To reach all students, we place great emphasis on varied teaching. You understand the value of alternating between reading literature and writing with oral presentations, digital tools, and interactive language exercises.

In the classroom, you are a good and confident leader who creates an atmosphere free of hierarchy, where students feel safe to speak, write, and develop. The position involves close collaboration with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and active participation in the school's quality work. The role also includes mentorship responsibilities.

We believe in meeting each student where they are linguistically and providing them with the tools they need to express themselves, analyze their surroundings, and succeed in all school subjects.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher in Swedish, SvA, and English for grades 4–9.
• Has a confident and clear classroom leadership style that creates a calm study environment, safety, and an inclusive atmosphere.
• Is passionate about a language-developing approach and has the ability to make language learning (both in Swedish and English) lively, relevant, and engaging for students.
• Sees the strength in varied teaching and can adapt methods to suit different learning styles and age groups.
• Has a professional approach to assessment, integrating formative methods to make student progress towards knowledge requirements visible.
• Is responsible and solution-oriented.

Other Information
