The Child and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Committee and the Primary and Lower Secondary School Committee. The administration is responsible for preschool activities, school-age childcare, primary and lower secondary school, and adapted primary and lower secondary school. Our most important task is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe educational environment. About the workplace

Reading, curiosity, and joy are the cornerstones of Huddinge Municipality's primary and lower secondary schools, and students' knowledge, security, and agency are in focus. Kvarnbergsskolan is a lower secondary school in central Huddinge with approx. 620 students and 85 employees. The school's students achieve good knowledge results and are taught by competent and engaged teachers. Kvarnbergsskolan works with inclusive approaches to meet students' different needs. The overarching goal of primary and lower secondary school is that all students reach the national goals. To create the conditions to achieve this goal, the Child and Education Administration works with a common pedagogical platform involving professional educators, school leaders, and a supportive learning environment. At Kvarnbergsskolan, all students have their own Chromebook, and we use Google Workplace and Vklass as platforms for our students' schoolwork.

Job responsibilities

Being a teacher and professional educator in Huddinge Municipality means that you have high expectations and a belief that all students can achieve success based on their conditions. You create good relationships, both with students and with guardians, built on trust and respect. You are aware of your own influence on students' learning. Based on student results, research, and proven experience, you follow up on the quality of teaching, reflect, and evaluate with the aim of developing teaching. You give forward-looking feedback to students with the aim of development and support students in need of special support. We work with collegial learning, which means that you collaborate with colleagues to develop yourself and your teaching as well as the school's pedagogical work. You should be digitally driven and have developed strategies for how you digitize your work with students, as well as with programmable sewing machines and cutting machines.

Your profile

You are a certified primary and lower secondary school teacher with eligibility in textile crafts. If you are also eligible in another subject, this is an advantage. You are well acquainted with LGR22 and have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. You are flexible and have good cooperation skills, easily create good relationships and collaborate with students, guardians, the work team, the school's student health team, and school leadership. In your pedagogical leadership, you are a clear leader, and in the classroom, you have the ability to create a work environment characterized by security, trust, and respect.

With good didactic skills, good subject knowledge, a clear structure, and varied teaching adapted to the individual student, you create the best conditions for our students to achieve the knowledge requirements in LGR22. You see documentation and assessment of students' knowledge development as a natural part of your work. You have good ability for analysis and reflection and constantly develop your teaching. You see yourself as a natural part of creating good conditions for students' learning.
