We are looking for you who want to take responsibility, think innovatively, and develop in a forward-moving organization – together we make a difference.
What we offer
Forward for life. Region Östergötland has high ambitions and a responsible mission. It is about health and care, the development of our region, and the people who live and visit here. We want to continue to be at the forefront with care, research, and education. This means daring to think differently – and having the best employees. Therefore, we offer unique opportunities for further learning and invest in modern environments with efficient systems and tools. Many of us meet patients and relatives, while others create the conditions for vital interventions. Here, fantastic people work towards the same goal – to make a real difference, and for life forward.

Job Description
You will meet people with various medical diagnoses of varying severity, where admissions and discharges, acute nursing, medical treatment, and monitoring take place around the clock. The department has an open communication climate with daily reflection and feedback where all employees participate. The daily work is very varied, and you will work together around the patient with the rest of the team. At AVA, there are three care teams, one of which is the IMA care team.
About 50 employees work at AVA; they are a competent group consisting of professions such as assistant nurses, nurses, and personnel coordinators. AVA is a department with high competence and a high level of ambition where we work closely together with a clear patient focus. We are a flexible organization that takes responsibility, supports each other, and continuously develops our approach with the patient in focus.
AVA has 16 care beds distributed across three care teams. Here, patients who need a bit more time than what can be offered at the emergency department are cared for. At AVA, we monitor, stabilize, investigate, and treat patients for up to 1–2 days. Patients with longer hospital care needs are transferred to other wards. AVA also has a unit with four beds for intermediate care for patients who are too sick to be cared for on a regular ward but who do not fully require intensive care.
You will receive an individualized introduction of up to six weeks, combining theory and practice with experienced colleagues. After approximately one year at AVA, the next step is planned: an introduction at IMA where you will care for patients in more critical stages.
