Your duties involve great variation within acute stroke care and neurology at all stages of life. One of our strengths at the medical clinic is the close cooperation between departments and clinics, which provides great opportunities for competence development and flexible tasks. The work includes participation in treatment, diagnostics, prevention, and rehabilitation. We work in teams where several professional groups collaborate around the patients. As a nurse with us, you have a significant role and are often the important link between the patient, relatives, the municipality, and other professional groups needed to ensure safe care and a secure return home.

About You

For this position, we are looking for you who are a registered nurse, confident in yourself, and curious to learn new things. Since care fluctuates, both regarding patients' conditions and the fact that workload can change quickly, it is important that you have the ability to work systematically and prioritize when necessary. You contribute to a good work environment through your team spirit and your humble, constructive approach. Experience in stroke care is meritorious, but we also warmly welcome newly graduated nurses as there are great opportunities to develop broad and specialized competence in the medical field at our clinic. Ward 6, the Stroke Unit, has 12 care beds where the focus is on stroke, neurology, but also general internal medicine. The Medical Clinic in Västervik provides qualified internal medical services available around the clock for our residents from the age of 18. The clinic has inpatient wards, a dialysis clinic, and two medication clinics where all specialist clinics are represented. Outpatient services are also provided on the care wards.
