We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a forward-thinking, cross-functional team developing tomorrow's data solutions within the defense sector. The team works remotely and delivers innovative, business-critical, and socially significant data products.

In the role of Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and enhance data pipelines and data products that create tangible value. You will become part of a collaborative team with a strong focus on solving complex problems through robust, scalable, and well-structured data solutions.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with documented experience delivering data solutions in production environments
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Experience with data modeling
• Experience with data architectures such as Medallion and Lakehouse
• Experience building ETL pipelines in PySpark
• Experience with data platforms, such as Databricks
• Experience with Delta tables, Parquet files, and S3 bucket architecture
• Practical experience with Airflow
• Experience with agile working methods
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with frameworks for data quality and data testing
