Frösunda Omsorg Utbildning AB is now looking for dedicated and solution-focused special needs teachers with a focus on intellectual disability (IF) for our adapted primary and upper secondary schools, Ikasus Friskola and Äventyrsskolan.

About the Role

As a special needs teacher with us, you work in a small, safe, and creative school environment where every student's strengths and needs are in focus. You teach in small groups with individualized instruction, often thematic and cross-curricular. We use clarifying pedagogy and alternative learning tools to create a structured and meaningful school day for students with autism and intellectual disabilities.

You collaborate closely with student assistants and other staff to promote learning, communication, and independence for each student.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement teaching in adapted primary and upper secondary schools.
• Work with clarifying pedagogy and alternative learning tools.
• Teach subject areas within adapted primary and upper secondary schools.
• Collaborate with student assistants and school management.
• Contribute to a safe, predictable, and stimulating learning environment.
• Participate in the school's development work and pedagogical forums.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed special needs teacher with a focus on intellectual disability, preferably with experience in adapted primary and upper secondary schools. You have a warm and professional approach, clear structure, and a solution-focused mindset. You believe in every student's potential and have good collaboration skills as well as a genuine commitment to students with special needs.
