Job Description
At Volvo Group's factory in Skövde, we are facing exciting changes and strive to become the leading provider of propulsion solutions, including electromobility. With over 4,000 engaged employees, we are the largest driveline site in the Volvo Group.
What you will do
As an Environmental Engineer, you will be part of the EHSS Department (Environment, Health, Safety & Security) and will provide support and advice to the organization in systematic environmental work. The tasks are varied and comprehensive; you will contribute to projects requiring both problem-solving skills and specialist knowledge.
You will provide advice on the environmental adaptation of processes, both existing and new, and lead and participate in major investigations and projects focused on reducing the company's environmental impact. You will provide expert support to the organization on issues within your area and be responsible for analyzing, compiling, and presenting results as well as following up on outcomes.
You play a key role in contact with authorities, where you write reports and drive permit applications. You will also contribute to meeting the company's sustainability challenges and be an important part of the sustainability team.
Profile
Who are you?
We are looking for you who want to learn more about our processes and who is an outgoing and curious person, with a good ability to absorb new knowledge and a desire to develop. You are structured in your work and adapt easily to different situations when required. You have a good ability to work independently, while also having an easy time collaborating with others.
Requirements:
- Environmental Engineer or equivalent experience.
- Good knowledge of chemistry, waste management, energy technology, land, and water issues.
- Good knowledge of legislation and requirements in the field.
- Pedagogical and social skills.
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
- Experience with authority work is an advantage.
- Experience coordinating environmental work related to permit-reportable or notification-reportable activities is an advantage.
