Stockholm International Academy is located in Häggvik, Sollentuna, and opened in 2016 in a quiet, nature-friendly area with good transport links via commuter train and bus. The school has approximately 370 students from preschool class to grade 9 and offers modern, functional, and well-equipped facilities, including its own sports hall as well as special rooms for crafts, home economics, and science.
We are an independent school following the Swedish national curriculum, with instruction conducted in Swedish. Our learning environments are designed to stimulate knowledge, creativity, and a sense of security. The school has two playgrounds that encourage play and movement, and a small forest is located just nearby. For our younger students, we offer an after-school care center, and for older students, an after-school club.
The Student Health Service plays a central and active role in the school's work, serving as support for both students and staff. We work from a clear value base where knowledge, security, and democracy are in focus, and where every student is given the opportunity to develop as far as possible. The school has a high proportion of qualified staff and maintains close cooperation with our sister school in southern Stockholm.
The organization consists of three work teams: lower school (grades 1-3), middle school (grades 4-6), and upper school (grades 7-9), and we continuously invest in professional development for all employees.
