Do you want a key role in some of the industry's most complex construction and infrastructure projects? We are now looking for a Construction Manager specializing in new main levels who wants to drive projects in a company undergoing strong development and transformation.
The most important job of the future
We want to lead the transformation of our industry towards a sustainable future. Just as we want to change the world, we want to develop everyone who is with us on this journey, both personally and professionally. Do you want to help shape the future of the world's mining and mineral industry?
Your role
As a Construction Manager specializing in new main levels, you play a central role in the execution of our larger construction and infrastructure projects. You work in close collaboration with the Project Manager and contribute to ensuring that the project is driven according to set goals regarding time, quality, function, and economy.
An important part of the role is to coordinate and maintain an active dialogue with contractors, suppliers, and operations organizations. During the construction phase, you are responsible for monitoring project progress and ensuring that both schedules and quality requirements are met.
In the role of Construction Manager, you will among other things:
- Plan and coordinate construction and infrastructure work within the project's frameworks for time, function, and economy
- Monitor and ensure that occupational health and safety work is conducted according to current laws, regulations, and internal requirements
- Lead and participate in construction meetings, coordination meetings, and work meetings related to construction and infrastructure projects
- Act as the contact person for contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders in the projects
- Be responsible for coordinating the working environment at construction sites, including the role of coordinator for construction safety (BAS-U)
The role is located within the Project Department, which is responsible for driving complex and technically advanced projects at the forefront. Over the coming years, the operations face a comprehensive transformation where large parts of the value chain will be developed. New plants will be built, new main levels in the mines will be planned, and existing machinery and facilities will be upgraded.
This means that we are carrying out extensive construction and infrastructure projects with a high technical level – all in line with our ambition to lead the transformation of the industry towards a more sustainable future.
What you bring with you
We are looking for you who have experience from construction or infrastructure projects within industrial operations and who thrive in a role with significant responsibility and many contact surfaces. You are structured, solution-oriented, and have a strong safety mindset.
You have good ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate work based on time, function, and economy, as well as to make decisions that contribute to the overall project. Through clear communication and a professional approach, you create trusting and long-term collaborations with colleagues as well as contractors and other stakeholders.
As the industry develops towards increased digitalization and more autonomous working methods, you are adaptable, curious, and have a desire to embrace new technologies and working methods. You are driven and motivated by developing in the role and contributing to the success of the projects.
- At least upper secondary education
- Experience in leading larger contracts and/or deliveries within construction and infrastructure projects, either as a client or as a contractor/supplier
- Experience and education in construction occupational health and safety coordination (BAS-P and BAS-U)
