We are now looking for a Commercial Project Manager for a long-term consultancy assignment with an international industrial conglomerate in the energy sector. The role is located within a high-tech and global operation focused on service and aftermarket solutions for advanced energy systems.

About the Role

In this role, you are responsible for the commercial and financial aspects of a portfolio of service and aftermarket projects related to medium-sized gas turbines. The projects vary in scope and complexity and are carried out in close collaboration with technical project managers, the finance department, procurement, and customer organizations worldwide.

You ensure that projects are driven with strong business acumen and control throughout the entire project lifecycle – from contract and kick-off to delivery, invoicing, and financial follow-up.

The role involves a strong focus on risk management, profitability, cash flow, and customer satisfaction, while you proactively work to identify opportunities for improvement in processes and working methods.

Key Responsibilities

As a Commercial Project Manager, you will among other things:

• Be responsible for the commercial and financial management of service and aftermarket projects
• Work with project economics, forecasts, performance tracking, and analysis
• Ensure correct handling according to IFRS15 and internal financial guidelines
• Handle issues related to tax, currency risks, and cash flow
• Work with invoicing, payment plans, and follow-up of customer receivables
• Manage and coordinate bank guarantees and other financial securities
• Perform risk assessments and actively work on risk mitigation
• Collaborate closely with technical project managers and support commercial decision-making
• Participate in internal and external project meetings with customers and global functions
• Work with reporting and visualization of project data in Excel and Power BI
• Contribute to improvement work within processes, tracking, and internal control

We are looking for you who

We believe you have experience from project-oriented operations within industry, energy, manufacturing, or another international environment where economics and business management have been a central part of the role.

You are analytical, structured, and business-oriented, while also having the ability to collaborate with different functions and build trust in complex project environments.

We would appreciate if you have:

• Experience in commercial project management or project economics
• Good knowledge of IFRS15 and financial project tracking
• Experience with SAP and advanced Excel usage
• Experience with Power BI or similar analysis and reporting tools
• Understanding of risk management, cash flow, and currency hedging
• Experience in international project environments is an advantage
• Experience with bank guarantees, contracts, or export deals is a plus
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English
