Special Education Teacher specializing in Intellectual Disability (IF) for adapted primary school, subject areas

We are now looking for a special education teacher for our adapted primary school.
Responsibilities
As a special education teacher, you work as the responsible teacher in a class with the knowledge mandate as the focus.
You lead the work and collaborate with teaching assistants and the work team. You are proactive in developing teaching, learning environments, student independence, and the school's systematic quality work in adapted primary school.
The assignment includes:
- Leading and driving teaching in the class linked to the knowledge mandate, focusing on the quality, progression, and goal achievement of the teaching to ensure every student develops.
- Developing accessible, structured, and predictable learning environments that support students' learning, participation, and independence. Working with language and communication through various methods, including AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
- As the responsible class teacher, you ensure that you guide and mentor teaching assistants in their profession to strengthen students' independence through clear structure, visualization, and pedagogical adaptations throughout the student's entire school day.
- Mapping, analyzing, and creating Individual Development Plans (IDP) from a pedagogical and preventive perspective. Ensuring that IDPs are created, used, and followed up in accordance with governing documents.
- Documenting and quality-assuring pedagogical assessments and complements in consultation with the overarching special educator, as well as providing material for admission to adapted primary school and for complements.
Collaboration
You are an active and responsible part of the class and work team, chairing class meetings. You participate in SIP meetings and structured collaboration with habilitation services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP), social services, and guardians. You contribute to promoting and preventive student health work with a clear link to teaching and learning.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Teacher certification and a Special Education Teacher degree specializing in Intellectual Disability (IF).
- Experience working in adapted primary school.
- Experience leading pedagogical work together with teaching assistants.
- Good knowledge of intellectual disability, AAC, Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NPF), and complex support needs.
Merits:
