Chef to Runö Meetings & EventsRunö Meetings & Events hotel and conference facility is beautifully located on its own peninsula in Åkersberga, 30 km north of Stockholm. We have 220 hotel rooms, an event hall of 800 sqm, and about 30 meeting rooms. A restaurant and plenty of space for socializing. All surrounded by fantastic archipelago-like surroundings. We are now looking for an engaged and proud chef who wants to help create culinary experiences for our conference, hotel, and event guests. Here, you work with cooking from scratch, seasonal ingredients, and a clear sustainability focus. You will become part of a professional kitchen team where collaboration, quality, and joy of work are at the center. The role entails As a chef at Runö Meetings & Events, you work in a varied kitchen where no day is like the other. The operation includes conference lunches, dinners, banquets, events, and special arrangements. You participate actively in planning, production, and execution, contributing to our guests receiving a first-class culinary experience. Your tasks will include among other things:

  • Preparing lunches, dinners, banquets, and event meals
  • Cooking from scratch with a focus on quality and sustainability
  • Preparations and mise en place for the day's service
  • Ensuring routines regarding food hygiene, self-control, and food safety
  • Participation in menu development and improvement work
  • Active work with waste reduction and resource-efficient production
  • Collaboration with the kitchen team to ensure high quality and good service
  • Contributing to a positive work environment and good cooperation between the different functions of the kitchen

Working hours vary and include daytime, evenings, and weekends according to schedule. We are looking for you who

  • Have at least 5 years of experience working as a chef
  • Have good experience with cooking from scratch
  • Have good knowledge of food hygiene and self-control
  • Master Swedish in speech and writing
  • Enjoy a varied work pace and are solution-oriented
  • Are structured, responsible, and quality-conscious
  • Are a team player who gladly does the little extra to achieve results both individually and as a team
  • Have a genuine interest in ingredients, cooking, and gastronomic development
Meritorious
  • Experience from hotel, conference, or restaurant operations
  • Experience working with larger production volumes
  • Experience with special diets and allergy handling
  • Education within restaurant and food
