In the autumn of 2026, Haninge Municipality will open a completely new resource school, and we are now seeking a qualified and certified teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (NO) for grades 7–9 who wants to help build a school where students with extensive support needs get the best possible conditions for success. The school is centrally located in Handen, close to the commuter train station. The new resource school will replace previously locally placed learning studios in the municipality, with the goal of consolidating competence and resources under one roof to create a more cohesive and powerful operation.

Your role

Your role as a teacher is to work together with other staff who work directly with the students to create the best possible conditions for the student's health, development, and learning. You are a natural part of the work to reach every student and collaborate with other staff at the school. As a teacher, you plan and conduct teaching individually and in groups, and have a mentorship role. You are an active part of the students' school day and are present in learning situations as well as in social break situations with the students.

What we are looking for in you

We are looking for someone who believes that school has a decisive importance for students' futures, who feels strongly about the importance of learning and education, and therefore considers school to be one of the most important arenas to work in. You want to work closely with students and support them to reach as far as possible. We are looking for someone who can take initiative, is easy to collaborate with, and builds relationships with those you meet. Currently, we are seeking a qualified and certified subject teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences for grades 7–9. We look forward to hearing what you can and want to contribute.

Requirements:

• You have a certified and qualified teacher degree in Mathematics and Natural Sciences for grades 7–9.

Merits:

• Previous experience working with students in need of special support, as well as experience in similar roles within resource schools or learning studios.
• Experience working with Positive Behavioral Support in a school environment.
