Tyresö Gymnasium is a school that places knowledge, security, and confidence in the future at the center. As a school, we are in an expansive and exciting period where much is happening and developing. In the autumn of 2025, the social science and economics programs were restarted with good application interest. In addition, the school offers vocational programs, introductory programs, special educational needs activities, and an adapted gymnasium. The breadth of programs leads to a wonderful and dynamic atmosphere! Tyresö Gymnasium has many dedicated teachers and is experienced as calm and secure by both teachers and students.

About the position

As Tyresö Gymnasium grows, we are now looking for a new teacher for our Care and Nursing program. As a vocational teacher in the Care and Nursing program here, you will become a central figure in shaping tomorrow's care personnel. The position involves planning and leading teaching in care and nursing subjects, where you will have the opportunity to translate your practical industry experience into inspiring pedagogy. You will work with both theoretical components and practical exercises in our method rooms, as well as be responsible for following up on and supervising students during their workplace-based learning (APL). As we grow, you will also help develop the program and its collaborations with the care sector, all to ensure that the education maintains high quality and is relevant to the needs in society. The role also includes mentorship and close collaboration with colleagues in the work team to create a holistic education for the students.

This is a permanent position at 100% with a desired start date of August 10, 2026. The position is a holiday position (ferietjänst).

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a licensed vocational teacher in care and nursing, or who have substantial subject competence and experience from the industry that we assess as equivalent. As a person, you are a secure and engaged leader who is passionate about transmitting your knowledge to young people. You have a good ability to build trusting relationships and can adapt your teaching so that it meets each student's prerequisites and awakens their curiosity for the profession. You thrive in cross-boundary collaboration, are flexible regarding the opportunities that a growing school entails, and see collegial exchange as a natural part of your work. Furthermore, we value that you are solution-focused and have a great interest in developing both yourself and the pedagogical activities together with us.
