Job Description
You will work with care-oriented pharmaceutical services within hospital pharmacy. You will spend your time on several wards and shape your work based on the clinic's needs, providing pharmaceutical expertise in various matters. Our ultimate goal is for pharmacists to work as an integrated part of the teams on the care wards we staff. The purpose is to increase patient safety by contributing pharmaceutical expertise and giving nurses more room to be present for the patients. We collaborate across the entire Medicines Centre and work closely between units. This may involve you also working with other tasks, such as administrative tasks related to the region's pharmaceutical work.
You thrive working with people and are engaged and helpful both in meetings with healthcare staff and in collaboration with your colleagues. You see challenges and changes as opportunities for improvement and development. Together with experienced employees, you will grow in your role as a pharmacist or dispensing assistant and continue to drive our operations forward at the pace required to meet the needs of care.
The Team
The Medicines Centre has undergone a long series of changes over several years and has increased multiple times in scope and mission. The Medicines Centre comprises three units: clinical pharmacology, hospital pharmacy, and the hospital pharmacy, with employees at all 3 hospitals in the county. The current hospital pharmacy largely corresponds to the previous drug supply and clinical pharmacy. Research and education at both basic and advanced levels are also conducted at the Medicines Centre, in line with the university hospital's mission.
About You
You are a licensed pharmacist or dispensing assistant. You have either worked for a few years or are a recent graduate. Introduction and training are adapted based on your educational and professional background. Fluent Swedish (C1 or C2) is a requirement.
Your work is characterized by precision and quality awareness. You are structured and can prioritize your work in an efficient and precise manner. You can see the big picture and adapt easily to changed conditions and are solution-oriented. In relations with others, you are attentive and accommodating, as well as sensitive to the needs of healthcare and other operations.
You have good teamwork skills and can work in a team without hierarchy while also being able to perform the work independently without problems. You are expected to be engaged, proactive, and together with other employees contribute to developing the operations. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities during recruitment.
Application and Employment
We offer a 100% position with start date as agreed. Probationary employment may apply. We work with continuous selection, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
Before employment in a patient-oriented role within Region Östergötland, you will be asked to fill out a health declaration.
