Primary Care Center Östergötland consists of 33 region-run primary care centers, four emergency care centers, Vårdcentrum Finspång, the child health services unit, 1177, and the general medicine education center. We operate a broad primary care activity where we offer care to everyone throughout their lives; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and patients in the final stages of life. Valla Primary Care Center is located in Ebbepark in central Linköping and has just over 18,000 registered patients.

Job Description

We are now seeking a temporary assistant physician to cover for our regular specialist trainees (ST-läkare) who are going out to gain experience at other clinics. This is part of their training mandate and a natural part of their path toward specialist competence in general medicine. We offer you challenging and varied work at our doctor's office. Work at an emergency care center may be included depending on your circumstances.

We hope that you will be interested in the breadth of general medicine and can envision a future within primary care. As an assistant physician with us, you will naturally receive regular supervision and the opportunity to participate in training together with other assistant physicians. Together, we will design an introduction based on your needs.

Work Group

We are today approximately 65 employees who get along well and work together for professional care of our patients. At the primary care center, in addition to the doctor's office and child health center, there are a number of specialist clinics, including a counseling clinic. We also have a rehabilitation coordinator, foot care, and a dietitian. We have a very good work environment and are proud of our workplace.

About You

We are looking for you with a Swedish medical degree or Swedish medical license (to be attached to the application). Furthermore, you have Swedish language skills corresponding to level Swedish C1. Since you work in constant dialogue with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other operations, it is a requirement that you have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.

Since we continuously develop our unit, we are looking for you who see change work as a natural part of daily work.

As a person, you are confident in yourself and have good teamwork skills. You have good judgment and communicate clearly. It is also important that you are unpretentious, curious to learn new things, and see constructive feedback as a natural part of daily work. You can plan, organize, and prioritize your work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
