In Östersund, we currently have 11 employees. Ottobock Care in Östersund has a total contract for orthopedic technology services and aids within the Region Jämtland Härjedalen. We work with all types of orthopedic technology aids today, and the work is carried out in close collaboration with other healthcare services, e.g., through team cooperation. We have high ambitions to profile ourselves within orthopedic technology and to continue refining our operations.

As a Licensed Orthotist/Prosthetist (Leg. Ortopedingenjör) with us, you work together with your colleagues to improve the quality of life for people with injuries/functional loss by improving their mobility and independence. We work with all types of orthopedic technology aids, from orthopedic shoes and inserts to orthoses and prostheses. The basis of our operations is the collaboration with other healthcare personnel and the teamwork carried out within pediatric/adult habilitation, prosthetic clinics, foot and ankle injuries, and the diabetes team for foot ulcer treatment.

The position is a permanent full-time employment located in Östersund. Start date by agreement. Working hours according to schedule, daytime. We have a collective agreement, which means you are covered by collective agreement insurances. Travel for work purposes may occur.

If you are a recent graduate from the Orthotist/Prosthetist program, you have the opportunity to participate in a 2-year introduction program with us. We are looking for you who are educated as a Licensed Orthotist/Prosthetist. Licensure and a degree from the Orthotist/Prosthetist program in Jönköping or equivalent is a requirement for your application to be processed. An exception applies to you who are a recent graduate and have not yet received licensure from the National Board of Health and Welfare. It is meritorious if you have a few years of experience in clinical work within the orthopedic technology field. Other requirements placed on you are good computer skills and awareness of the rules and regulations that apply when handling patients within healthcare. You command Swedish fluently in both speech and writing, and you handle English at a good level.

A professional approach towards customers, suppliers, and partners is a given for you in your professional role. You take independent responsibility for your tasks, drive your own processes, and ensure they are completed. In collaboration with others, you contribute knowledge and experience while being receptive and respectful and keeping the group's best interests in mind. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work while meeting deadlines. At the same time, you adapt easily to new circumstances and can quickly change your approach. You see opportunities in change.
