Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to societal development is even greater. With us, you get to do both. We are now looking for a Service Technician for our Industry Division and our branch in Gothenburg. At Svevia, we combine the camaraderie and team spirit of a small business with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you have the opportunity to develop as a road construction specialist with dedication, collaboration, and responsibility.
Your role as a Service Technician
In your role as a Service Technician with us, you will be based in Gothenburg. You will perform repairs, assemble, install, and maintain various types of equipment. You will locate faults or damage, replace, or repair components. We consist of three machine crews and several mobile units active in Western Sweden.
Furthermore, you are responsible for keeping the workshop in good order and assisting with various repairs and service/maintenance of our vehicles and machinery. You will also coordinate and process orders for spare parts.
As a Service Technician, you play a vital and highly appreciated role among colleagues, as you are the person they turn to when problems arise.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have a general background in vehicle and machinery repair. Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems is a plus. We place great emphasis on qualities such as orderliness, service mindset, initiative, engagement, and responsibility. You need to be a team player who shows respect, supports, and cares for your colleagues.
To succeed in this role, we consider the following mandatory requirements:
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
- Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written
Working as a Service Technician at Svevia primarily involves working during regular hours, although overtime and occasional travel may occur.
At Svevia, we apply individual salary setting for skilled workers and have agreements regarding annual working hours. During the winter season, there is a supervisory role for other team members as we plan winter repairs.
Part of something bigger
Svevia's Industry Division is in an expansion phase, and our ambitions are high. Our goal is to be a leading player in paving in Sweden.
Behind every road lies more than just the visible surface: an entire industry of knowledge and delivery capability. Our offering is an industrial process. From stone to finished road.
It all starts with a quarry, which then becomes ballast, which in turn is used in the production of asphalt, which is finally laid on the road. With over 100 own rock quarries, our own production of asphalt, bitumen emulsion, and thermoplastic, we offer a breadth that no one else can match. In our laboratories, we conduct material analyses to ensure products meet standards and requirements. Our skilled teams in milling, paving, tank lining, and road marking ensure the delivery is complete.
Why Svevia?
With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we pride ourselves on being a workplace for everyone. Decision-making paths are short, and it is easy to make your voice heard. At the same time, you become part of a practical reality and a company where concrete results are created with smoking pavers, large snowplows, and tons of rebar and concrete. With your professional expertise, you can make a difference on the road. And we always put safety first – both with care for your own working environment and the security of others.
For those who wish to take the next step in their development, there are many opportunities. Whether you want to deepen your expertise in your specific area or move into a supervisory position.
Together, we make cities and the countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?
