On behalf of our client, Miljonbemanning is now looking for a Workshop Coach / Lead Vehicle Technician for an established player in public transport and vehicle maintenance. The client is a large public transport operator dedicated to creating safe, sustainable, and reliable journeys for a large number of passengers every day.

As a Workshop Coach / Lead Vehicle Technician, you will become a vital part of the workshop's daily operations. You will play a central role in supporting, coaching, and leading vehicle technicians in their practical work, while also contributing operationally when needed. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge and a natural ability to create structure, job satisfaction, and engagement within the team.

As a Workshop Coach / Lead Vehicle Technician, you combine practical technical work with leadership and coaching. You contribute to ensuring high quality in the workshop's work, efficient execution of repairs and services, and the continuous development of the team in line with new technology and changing industry requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, supporting, and coaching a team of vehicle technicians in daily operations
• Planning, allocating, and following up on tasks in the workshop
• Ensuring high quality in servicing, repairs, and troubleshooting
• Contributing practically to technical work when needed
• Acting as a key link between production, traffic operations, and the workshop during urgent situations
• Contributing to order, structure, and efficiency through methods such as 5S and self-inspections
• Supporting the team in working with new technology, particularly regarding electric vehicles, electric buses, and sustainable fuels
• Working on improvements, routines, and quality in daily workshop operations
• Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and professional work environment

• Has technical education in vehicles, mechanics, electricity, or equivalent experience
• Has documented experience working with heavy vehicles, buses, trucks, or similar
• Has previous experience in leadership, team leading, coaching, or coordination in a workshop environment
• Has good knowledge of servicing, repairs, and workshop routines
• Is confident in troubleshooting and technical problem-solving
• Is structured, responsible, and solution-oriented
• Has the ability to create engagement and job satisfaction in a team
• Has a clear focus on quality and safety
• Can communicate effectively with technicians, management, and other functions
• Can work independently while contributing to good collaboration

It is an advantage if you have a C or D driver's license, AC certification, experience with vehicle electricity, electric buses, electrical safety training, or modern vehicle technology. Experience with public transport vehicles, bus workshops, or work with sustainable fuels is also considered an advantage.

The position is full-time with a location in Gothenburg. The work is performed in a workshop environment and includes both practical technical work and coaching leadership in daily operations.
