ANV Nordic was founded in 2005 and specializes in customized value-added insurance distributed through partners in industries such as Banking & Finance, Telecom, Energy, and Retail. As a Data Engineer / Data Analyst, you will play a central role in ensuring that ANV's data is accurate, complete, and usable for decision-making. You will have a broad mandate spanning from data quality and infrastructure to finished reports and business analysis. As a person, you are expected to have strong self-drive, take initiative, and thrive in supporting the business where needed.

Key Responsibilities

Your overarching goal is to ensure high data quality, build robust reporting solutions, and manage databases to support both business needs and regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will:

• Drive and be responsible for database management in Snowflake, ensuring that raw data from core systems maintains the highest quality and is updated correctly.
• Build, develop, and maintain financial, regulatory, operational, and business-critical reports.
• Work hands-on with setting up, optimizing, and maintaining data pipelines, as well as writing SQL to create views and tables that shape our data infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with Underwriting and Operations to define central KPIs, ensure traceability and GDPR compliance, and analyze consequences of changes in system and business logic.
• Build smart reporting layers that make raw data understandable and ensure the database is easy to use, so that your colleagues can retrieve the data they need themselves.

We are looking for someone with:

• At least two years of experience in a role such as Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or similar.
• Educational background in Industrial Economics, Computer Science, or similar.
• Knowledge of databases and database setup.
• Good knowledge of SQL and experience working with databases (preferably Snowflake).
• Fluency in Swedish and English.
• Basic knowledge of Python.
• Good understanding of GDPR and data logging/security.

Merits include:

• Experience from the insurance or finance industry.
• Good knowledge of Power BI or other BI tools.
• Experience designing and setting up cloud databases.
