Workplace Description

Västertorpsskolan is a school for grades F-6 with approximately 400 students distributed across regular primary school, a Central Special Education Group (CS), and from the autumn term of 2026, also an Adapted Primary School (AG). The school is located along the red line of the subway and has close access to public transport and all the advantages this brings for excursions and cultural activities. We also have close proximity to nature and outdoor environments such as forests and parks. Our school focus revolves around HEARTS, which permeates our approach to teaching and interaction. HEARTS stands for Health, Empathy, Calmness, Respect, Safety, and Cooperation. Our multicultural composition, with over 30 languages and nationalities, permeates our daily work to promote learning, inclusion, and social security for all our children.

Job Description and Requirements

We are looking for a qualified and licensed teacher in Spanish for teaching in grade 6. The position is currently a permanent position with hourly employment of approximately 6 hours/week, distributed over two afternoons on Tuesday and Wednesday. However, we are open to a dialogue regarding days if this would be decisive for the appointment. These hours include planning time.

We would like you to have experience and the ability to design teaching in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into the students' results and needs, and you structure and adapt your teaching so that a safe and adequate learning environment is created. You involve the student in the planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others.

You need to be independent, driven, proactive, and courageous in your leadership, daring to lead the class with clear frameworks. We would like social accessibility to complement professional knowledge to maximize the students' safety and learning. The position involves usual tasks for a teacher, such as planning, teaching, follow-up, grading, and analysis of daily work, as well as contact with homes, students, and mentors regarding both learning and social environment. You plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze your lesson structure as well as other duties included in your role in an effective manner. You are familiar with grading and assessment and have good documentation and basis for your assessments. You are structured and make your planning and setup visible to students and guardians for maximum accessibility.

You are solution-focused and contribute constructive feedback to colleagues and management, finding solutions that provide the opportunity for a functioning everyday life for both student and organization. Your fingertip sensitivity regarding adjustments in the classroom and inclusive teaching to the greatest possible extent is important for a good student-developing approach. You have good cooperation skills with colleagues and contribute to the work with perspectives, help, and support, as well as to collegial learning. You are secure, stable, and have self-insight, and you value and create good conditions for cooperation and build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
