About Us

At Närhälsan Bengtsfors Health Centre, we are an engaged and welcoming team that cares for each other and works together for a sustainable and pleasant working environment. At our centre, the daily routine is characterized by cooperation, helpfulness, and a climate where everyone can thrive.

The health centre is located in the heart of the beautiful nature of Dalsland, a landscape known for its silence, untouched nature, and Sweden's highest proportion of lakes. We are responsible for approximately 7,500 registered patients, and our team includes district physicians, specialist physicians, district nurses, as well as specialized nurses within diabetes, asthma/COPD, heart/vascular, and Child Health Services (BVC). We also have CBT therapists, psychotherapists, psychologists, assistant nurses, and medical secretaries.

Directly adjacent to the health centre are the Mother and Child Health Clinic, Youth Clinic, and Rehabilitation Clinic. About the Job

Your duties at the health centre cover a broad field and include general medical competence with patients of all ages and situations. You work independently and variably with clinic work. Supervision is provided by an experienced specialist who gives you support and knowledge exchange. We offer you varied work with good development opportunities. If you are interested in a free and varied job with the patient where your and your colleagues' working environment is in focus, this job is for you.

About You

You are a licensed physician with permission to work in Swedish healthcare and have an interest in primary care and undertaking Specialist Training (ST) in general medicine. You possess Swedish language skills at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale.

We are looking for you who are sensitive and have a good approach because you meet many different patients at the health centre in your work. You work independently and are confident in making your own decisions, while contributing with engagement and initiative to the development of the operations. You thrive in teamwork and cooperate willingly with colleagues and partners to together create a care environment characterized by quality, trust, and consideration.

Other Information

• Interviews are conducted continuously.
• The position is a fixed-term appointment for 6 months, with possible extension and Specialist Training (ST).
• For those who have trained as a doctor abroad and have not done AT (Internship) in Sweden to obtain a medical license, the new regulations regarding Bastjänstgöring (Basic Training) apply from July 1, 2021. Basic Training for Physicians (BT) is a mandatory introductory part of Specialist Training in the new regulation ST-2021 (HSLF-FS 2021:8). This means you need to do BT before or as an introductory part of your ST.
