About Kulturskolan Huddinge

Kulturskolan Huddinge is part of Huddinge Municipality's Department of Culture and Leisure and offers voluntary courses for children and young people aged 5–22 in dance, art, media, music, and theater. The operations are located in Huddinge Center, Skogås, and Vårby Gård, as well as in collaboration with schools, libraries, and youth centers. With professional educators, the cultural school meets over 1,500 children and young people in courses and approximately 2,000 in open activities every year.

Kulturskolan is undergoing strong development with a focus on increased equality and reaching more children and young people throughout the municipality. By establishing operations where participation is currently lower, adapting the offering to demand, and developing methods for more course places, Kulturskolan aims to create a meaningful leisure time for more young people.

We are now looking for a film and animation educator who wants to inspire and develop students of all ages. Teaching is primarily conducted in the afternoons and evenings but also during certain holidays. Weekend work may occur. The position is a part-time temporary assignment at 40–60% starting August 12, 2026, or as agreed. The temporary assignment lasts for one academic year, autumn and spring terms, August 2026 – June 2027.

Description of Duties

• Teaching film creation and animation in groups.
• Take responsibility for your student groups and foster good contact with students and their guardians.
• In consultation with the manager, be responsible for scheduling and monitoring the schedule.
• Responsibility for operation-related tasks and associated administration.
• Together with the manager, colleagues, subject team, and students, plan and actively participate in activities based on Kulturskolan's goals and mission. This includes, in addition to teaching, outward-facing activities, concerts, and performances.
• Actively participate in Kulturskolan's development tasks.
• Foster good internal and external relationships and contribute to a good working environment.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have university-level education in film, media, culture, and pedagogy, or have acquired equivalent knowledge. You should have good digital competence through experience working with digital storytelling in various forms such as animation, film creation, podcasting, graphic design, layout, multimedia, and photography. You have good film knowledge and experience with various film editing programs such as Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, iMovie, and Premiere Pro, as well as work with animation using iPads. You must have documented experience in creating photo and film with different expressions.

You are proactive, creative, and willing to try new working methods. You work from a clear perspective on the needs of children and young people, have good collaboration skills with Kulturskolan's mission in focus. You are accustomed to using digital media as a resource in learning and in daily work with communication, planning, and administration. We place great importance on your personal qualities and that your understanding of Kulturskolan's mission aligns with ours.
