About the job

The night shift (Home Care Night) in Lidköping Municipality has the task of meeting the care recipients' need for assistance during the night, according to the decision on support and service.

We are looking for you who want a stimulating and developing job. As a nursing assistant here, you will have a varied job involving many contacts. Together with your colleagues, you will have the opportunity to develop in your role and make a difference for people every day. Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant with us, you contribute to good care and support for users in their homes. You will work with nursing and service adapted to the individual's needs. In your work, you also help the user with health and medical care interventions delegated by the nurse.

Night staff cooperate with the Safety Center and, in addition to regular care visits, respond to alarms. A care recipient can alarm via an alarm system installed in their home. The alarm goes to the Safety Center, which notifies the home care staff for action. The alarms can be more or less urgent. Because of this, the work is often difficult to predict.

Having a permanent contact person is part of your work, meaning you have a special responsibility for one or more individuals. You help create good relationships with colleagues, users, and relatives. Your work also includes ongoing documentation and responsibility for drawing up, following up, and revising implementation plans. You play an important role in the unit's teamwork.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who take responsibility for your tasks with the user's best interests in focus and who are keen to complete the work you have started. You are a secure person who has the ability to take initiative and create trusting relationships based on care and empathy. You work independently and have the ability to make your own decisions when working independently in the user's home. At the same time, you must be able to cooperate with both your colleagues and other professions you meet in your work.

Requirements:

• Proof of protected professional title for nursing assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or alternatively a certificate from a previous employer confirming that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023.
• Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good reading comprehension.
• Basic digital competence.
• Category B driver's license.

Merits:

• Vård- och omsorgscollegediplom (College Diploma in Care and Support).
• Experience of similar work and/or education within dementia care.
• Experience of documentation.

Other

To be employed in the role of nursing assistant, you must attach proof of the protected professional title or a certificate from your current employer confirming that you had/have a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023, with your application.

The position is a permanent employment starting as agreed.

Police Certificate

In connection with an offer of employment, you as a candidate are required to present an extract from the criminal record register for work in any of the following areas: school or preschool, work with children in activities other than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), work in or in connection with HVB homes (Hem för vård eller boende), work with the elderly or persons with disabilities. You order the extract via the Police website. The extract must be presented before employment can begin.
