Vittra Schools is one of Sweden's leading independent school companies, with 24 preschools and primary schools across the country. Together, we are responsible for approximately 8,000 children and students and have around 1,000 employees. We started our first school in 1993 and have been part of AcadeMedia, the largest education company in the Nordics, since 2008. Vittra is a socially engaged preschool and primary school where children and students learn about themselves and the world. With us, conscious children and students are formed, given the right tools and knowledge to create a better and more sustainable society. We do this through our unique pedagogical approach based on three parts: conscious learning, courageous culture, and clear structure.
At Vittra Jakobsberg, we know that the keys to your child reaching their goals are trust, clarity, and courage. Therefore, we work in a relationship-building culture where seniors, juniors, miniors, and preschool children attend the same school and have close contact with the educators. This is why we create a good structure for our children and students, with a clear lesson structure and the Vittra Book, which teaches children to plan and take responsibility early on. When children and students get to know themselves as individuals, they can understand society better and dare to influence it.
Vittra Jakobsberg is centrally located in western Jakobsberg, just 200 meters from Jakobsberg Station.
Vittra is an organization guided by ideas and values. This means that all employees work towards the same pedagogical goals – conscious learning where we can make a difference for our children and students.
You will come to a safe place filled with warmth, care, and engagement from students, educators, and guardians!
Spanish Teacher at Vittra Jakobsberg - Grades 6-9
Your Role
We offer a permanent position at 50% with teaching in Spanish. You will teach grades 6-9. You will be part of the lower secondary school team and participate in team meetings and collegial pedagogical meetings.
Your Profile
We are primarily looking for you who are a certified teacher and qualified to teach the subject. It is an advantage if you have experience teaching in a relatively socioeconomically disadvantaged area with a diverse student body.
As a teacher at Vittra, you help shape conscious children and students by giving them the right tools and knowledge to create a more sustainable society. To be able to do this, you need the right personal qualities:
You thrive in an environment characterized by courage and conscious learning.
You are ego-free (for real). At our school, the team comes before the individual, and the focus in all our decisions is based on the students' best interests. You have the ability to turn experiences into insight and do not let personal matters get in the way of work at the school. You are an adult role model at school and are therefore always part of the solution, not the problem.
You have situational leadership skills and are prepared for the fact that school is an event-driven activity where no day is the same as another. We have up to 500 children and students, who together with 70 adults must cooperate daily in many different contexts. This means that different types of situations arise in classrooms and in hallways, just like in any other school. You need to be secure in this and, above all, able to handle it with calmness and wisdom.
You build trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues alike.
You are skilled in teaching, or well on your way to becoming so. It does not matter if you are already an experienced classroom teacher or a future star. What is important is that you have drive, curiosity, and a desire to constantly develop in your role. You have an interest and commitment to your teaching that inspires and motivates students to want to learn. You have the ability to meet students individually.
Other Information
The position is a permanent employment starting from August 11, 2026. We apply a six-month probation period.
You are warmly welcome to submit your application via our recruitment system. Appointment may take place before the last application date, and interviews are conducted continuously. For questions regarding the position, please contact Principal Shirzad Anjini at 08-584 105 96 or email [email protected].
We kindly but firmly decline direct contact from staffing and recruitment agencies as well as sellers of additional job advertisements.
What We Offer
Together, we work with collegial learning to develop teaching and to meet the individual needs of children. Vittra has a clear pedagogical direction and various tools and methods that support our work. We build a safe and challenging environment where everyone should get to develop and grow, both children and adults.
All children and students at Vittra have a Vittra Book with the purpose of creating awareness of their own learning process.
We also have neighborhood goals where we work with the UN's 17 global sustainability goals. The work can be carried out together with local actors and organizations for a better society, a better neighborhood.
We provide pedagogical lunches.
As a school within AcadeMedia, we offer our employees continuous competence development through AcadeMedia Academy as well as internal and external professional development. At our school, you naturally receive collective agreement benefits and insurances, as well as a wellness allowance (5,000 SEK), pension counseling, and the opportunity for favorable purchases through net and gross salary exchange.
