Habilitering & Hälsa offers specialized care and support to individuals with permanent disabilities, such as impaired ability to communicate, see, hear, or move. The goal is to maintain and develop functional capacity, create conditions for good health, and enable active participation in society.

Habilitering provides specialized healthcare for adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, mobility impairments, or acquired brain injuries. We offer health-promoting and treatment interventions based on each individual's unique needs and conditions, with specialist knowledge of how disabilities can impact daily life, health, and development.

Permanent Position: Occupational Therapist

Are you looking for a job that provides great value to patients while offering good opportunities for professional development? Do you want to work in interdisciplinary teams with broad competence and good collaboration? Then you should apply to us!

As an occupational therapist at Habilitering, you will have the opportunity to use and broaden your competence. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team where you contribute important pieces based on your professional expertise. The team includes, in addition to occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, psychologists, nurses, speech therapists, dietitians, and doctors. An introduction and mentorship are included for new employees.

In connection with a retirement, we are now looking for an occupational therapist for our clinic located in Vänerparken, near Vänersborg's travel center and city center.

Responsibilities

As an occupational therapist with us, you provide support to patients from an activity and participation perspective. Common issues in patient work include difficulties with planning, time, and structure, as well as the need for individually adapted assistive devices to compensate for cognitive difficulties. The work involves mapping functional and activity capacity and supporting the patient in creating structure, routine, and insight to increase activity balance and independence in daily life.

Other common issues in patient work involve difficulties related to mobility impairments, where you, often in close collaboration with a physiotherapist, work with 24-hour positioning from an activity and participation perspective. Together with the physiotherapist, you also conduct follow-ups of patients with CP according to a national quality register, CPUP.

All interventions are planned together with the patient and their network. Part of the work involves consultation to people in the patient's surroundings and to other healthcare providers. Collaboration is an important and natural part of the work. The work takes place in Habilitering's premises and based on needs in the patient's immediate environment. We offer digital visits when possible. Interventions are provided individually or in groups during defined periods. You will be part of a professional group together with other occupational therapists with good conditions for supporting and guiding each other.

We are looking for someone who

  • Is a licensed occupational therapist
  • Has experience, interest, and knowledge in working with people from our target group
  • Is responsible and feels confident working both in teams and independently
  • Is flexible, solution-focused, and has good collaboration skills
  • Has a B-driver's license as the work involves travel

It is an advantage if you have several years of professional experience and are accustomed to an interdisciplinary way of working. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

We offer you

  • A pleasant work environment with exciting and varied work where your workdays are diverse and where you face different challenges together with your colleagues
  • Collegial supervision and an introduction period with mentorship in connection with employment
  • Joint professional meetings with other occupational therapists within Habilitering in VGR
  • Competence development based on an individual development plan
  • Certain possibilities for remote work
  • Common benefits for all employees within VGR

We are an outpatient clinic with the aim of possessing broad and deep competence regarding our target groups/patient groups. Habilitering has close cooperation with various operations within primary care, county hospital care, and regional hospital care. For us, patient-focused care is important, where we focus on creating value for the patient, ensuring accessibility, and providing good treatment.
