Your Role

As a school librarian at Björknässkolan, you will play a central role in creating an environment where students of all ages feel welcome to explore literature and develop their language skills. We are looking for someone who wants to build a library that sparks curiosity, inspires reading, and strengthens students' ability to think critically. By shaping a structured and stimulating operation, you will become an important part of the students' educational journey and the school's pedagogical development.

The role includes responsibility for the library system and making thoughtful purchases that broaden and deepen students' reading experiences. Through activities such as book clubs, poetry competitions, workshops, and author visits, you will create a vibrant culture around reading, and you will collaborate closely with teachers to integrate literature into the curriculum. With good digital competence and an interest in social media, you will have great opportunities to further develop the operations.

Your Experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• a university or college degree in library and information science, or a corresponding degree that the employer deems relevant
• good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
• good digital competence and system management skills

It is an advantage if you also have:

• experience working in a library or similar environment
• education in children's culture
