We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join our creative and friendly design team! You will work on designs from concept idea to finished product. In your role, you will collaborate with leading vehicle manufacturers in Europe such as Volvo, Scania, MAN, BMW, and the Volkswagen Group. The development work at Klippan Safety will involve a wide variety of interior products for their vehicles. During the project, you will work closely with our prototype and testing department, where you will evaluate the design using mechanical testing as well as in our own crash test facility.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Overall responsibility for systems, subsystems, and components in various development projects.
• Work with 3D and 2D modeling.
• Review and create technical reports.
• Act as a mentor within the engineering department during concept studies and throughout the entire product development chain.

Who are you?

We believe you have a university-level technical education or equivalent, preferably in mechanics, mechanical engineering, or product development. You have between 5–10 years of relevant work experience. Naturally, you love technology and have a fundamental "how does it work" attitude. You have strong analytical skills but are also good at communicating and explaining.

We are looking for someone whom many would describe as proactive, structured, and creative. You are unpretentious and do not wait for directives; instead, you are self-motivated and take initiative.

You need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. For those who want to shine a bit extra, knowledge of Polish and German is a plus.

Nice to have

It is an advantage if you, like us, have experience from the automotive industry, industrial sector, or a sector with similar system requirements such as medical technology and telecommunications. Experience with the following is also a plus:

• Catia V5 and Windchill.
• Different types of constructions such as plastic, sheet metal, and welded constructions.
• Extruded profiles (aluminum, plastic).
• Form and position tolerances.

Other Information

The position is full-time with a location at our headquarters in Klippan. You will be part of a team and report to our R&D Manager. Klippan Safety is collectively affiliated with the Technical Agreement.

A driver's license (Category B) is desirable as business travel may occur.
