About the Role

This is a new position covering meals for preschools, schools, and the elderly. The role includes responsibility for two kitchens: Bobinens Trygghetsboende (where Bullerbyn Preschool is also located) and Furulundsskolan, which is a comprehensive school (grades F-9).

We are looking for an engaged Team Leader who wants to help create positive meal experiences for children, students, and the elderly. At our workplace, collaboration, well-being, and meal joy are at the center – every day.

As a Team Leader, you are a key part of creating a work environment where everyone contributes and feels included. You work closely with your team, lead the daily operations, and ensure that meals are not only nutritious and safe – but also prepared with care and joy. You are part of the Meal Services management group and contribute, in close collaboration with other team leaders, unit managers, and the Meal Services Manager, to developing the meals in Eksjö Municipality.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and cook meals with a focus on quality and meal joy.
• Lead and distribute daily work tasks in the kitchen.
• Create structure and good organization in the operations.
• Work with self-control and safe food handling.
• Contribute to post-meal tasks such as cleaning and dishwashing.
• Document according to current routines.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for you who have a chef education, for example, a three-year upper secondary education with a focus on restaurant and large-scale cooking, or equivalent. You also have a Higher Vocational Education (YH) in meal service with a team leader focus, or other equivalent education.

It is an advantage if you have experience cooking in preschools, schools, or elderly care.

A B-driver's license is required.
