The Position and Responsibilities

Description

Rikstens School is looking for a skilled and driven F-3 teacher with experience teaching in the preschool class. The role involves creating good conditions for learning and development, as well as promoting social relationships through play and physical activity. In the preschool class, we work with the Bornholm Model and "Think, Reason, and Calculate." From preschool class to grade 9, Rikstens School works preventively against violence using "The Train" method to create a safe school environment.

You will work in a team together with preschool teachers, teachers, and after-school teachers, in a work group where you are responsible for the students all day long.

The position offers opportunities for individual and joint planning, as well as work group time together with your colleagues.

Workplace Description

Rikstens School is an F-9 school with approximately 770 students in the autumn of 2026, located in an expanding area in Tullinge. The school is surrounded by fantastic nature, and the location is suitable for both indoor and outdoor teaching. The proximity to Lida and Brantbrink forests is often used by the school for days where students and educators can have wonderful experiences together.

In your role, you will conduct teaching and related tasks such as preparation and follow-up work. You are part of a work group and participate in the group's joint work regarding the students in the grade. You contribute to a good learning environment through active work in work groups. Together, you focus on the students' social and knowledge development. You also collaborate with other staff at the school. You actively participate in the school's values-based work and work inclusively.

Mentorship is a central part of your role, involving social contact with students and classes, communication with guardians, handling absences, and development talks. You will be a mentor in the preschool class. In your role, you collaborate with the student health team.

As an employee here, you are an ambassador for the school.

Who You Are

We are looking for a competent and engaged teacher who can contribute to developing our operations in accordance with the school's governing documents. You have an understanding of student learning and have experience from school and preschool class activities. The role involves creating the best conditions for learning and development, as well as promoting social relationships through play and physical activity.

You will collaborate with preschool teachers, teachers, and after-school teachers in a team where you jointly take responsibility for the students throughout the day. The position includes opportunities for both individual and collective planning, as well as time for the work group to collaborate. As a pedagogue, you are warm-hearted, responsible, and clear, with an inclusive approach and strong communication skills.

You are a certified teacher for ages F (preschool) to grade 3.

• You have good knowledge and experience in leading students.
• You have experience and knowledge in pedagogical documentation, where you follow and document children's learning processes.
• You communicate well in both speech and writing in Swedish.

Merits: It is advantageous if you have

• Experience with the Bornholm Model and "Think, Reason, and Calculate."
• Knowledge of early reading and writing acquisition and mathematics acquisition.
• Knowledge and interest in outdoor pedagogy.
• Knowledge about children with special needs.
• Experience using visual support (picture aids).

The position is a temporary assignment with holiday employment at 75% for the school year 26/27.

The position may be filled internally within the organization.
