We are looking for a highly senior cross-program project manager specializing in strategic planning for a large and complex infrastructure program in the construction phase.

This is a full-time position. The start date is no later than 2026-09-15, but an earlier start may be possible.

About the Role

In this role, you will work as a cross-program project manager with a focus on strategic planning, progress tracking, contract issues, production planning, monitoring, as well as financial and cost control.

You will provide qualified support to project managers and project directors within a major infrastructure program, contributing to the program achieving its goals regarding scope, time, cost, and quality.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing decision-making materials
• Clarifying the project's scope and prerequisites
• Ensuring coordination between project activities
• Coordinating and managing interfaces with internal and external stakeholders
• Contributing to strategic choices regarding interfaces, production, contracts, monitoring, and cost control
• Supporting the client organization in contract and commercial matters
• Facilitating knowledge transfer within the organization
• Guiding projects and program segments forward through complex decision-making processes

Workplace and Scope

The base of operations is one of the project offices in Solna/Sundbyberg, Nyköping, or Norrköping.

The assignment is primarily based at the project office five days a week. Some remote work may be possible upon approval.

Business travel is expected, primarily to project offices in Södertälje, Nyköping, and Norrköping, approximately four times per month.

The client provides a computer and workspace.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet all the following requirements:

• You hold a university or college degree of at least 180 ECTS credits with a focus on building technology within civil engineering, or another relevant education combined with experience deemed equivalent.
• You have at least ten years of recent experience in project management for infrastructure projects in the construction phase. "Recent experience" refers to ten years within the last fifteen years.
• You have at least five years of recent experience supporting a client organization with contract and commercial matters across various construction contracts. "Recent experience" refers to five years within the last ten years.
• At least two of the construction contracts you have supported must have had a contract value exceeding 1,500 MSEK.
• At least one of the construction contracts must have used a cost-plus reimbursement method and had periods with turnover exceeding 100 MSEK per month.
• You possess strong skills in writing reports.
• You possess strong skills in delivering oral presentations in both internal and external contexts.
• You have good knowledge of relevant standard agreements, specifically AB, ABT, and ABK.
• You have good knowledge of AMA (Swedish construction standards).
• You can work within the scope of the assignment and be available according to the specified utilization rate.
• You can work fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

Desirable Experience

It is particularly advantageous if you have experience from at least one situation where a client organization terminated a contract with a contractor and needed to quickly develop a plan for alternative completion of the work.

It is particularly advantageous if you have experience from at least one formal dispute in a general court or arbitration proceeding regarding total contract packages.

It is also highly advantageous if you have documented experience working independently in large programs or megaprojects with many interfaces, high complexity, and significant financial values.

Personal Attributes

We are looking for someone who is highly senior, confident, and self-reliant. You have strong planning skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to drive progress even in complex environments with many stakeholders.

You are solution-oriented, communicative, and accustomed to quickly familiarizing yourself with new organizations and contexts. You can work both strategically and operationally and are comfortable providing qualified support to project management, program management, and decision-makers.

You should be accustomed to handling difficult contract issues, commercial trade-offs, interfaces, production risks, cost control, and issues that can significantly impact time, economy, and execution.
