Job Responsibilities

Are you an experienced and dedicated welder looking to take a central and leading role in production, contributing to both quality assurance and the development of welding operations? We are now looking for you who want to combine practical welding work with overall responsibility for processes, routines, and improvement work.

In this position, you have overall responsibility for the daily operations of the welding department. You ensure that work is carried out according to current quality requirements and standards, while ensuring that documentation, instructions, and welding procedure specifications (WPS) are up-to-date and followed in the operation. You act as a key link between production and other functions within the company.

The role is both operational and strategic, where you participate in welding work when needed, while driving issues related to quality, competence development, and improved working methods.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead and monitor daily work within the welding department
• Ensure compliance with welding procedures, datasheets, and instructions
• Check and follow up on staff training and certifications
• Work with quality monitoring and reporting of deviations
• Actively contribute to improvement and development work in production
• Perform practical welding work when needed
• Be responsible for order, safety, and maintenance of equipment
• Collaborate with other departments to create efficient workflows

• Location: Sjöbo
• Employment type: Full-time
• Working hours: Mon-Thu 07:00–16:30, Fri 07:00–12:30
• Start: According to agreement or as soon as possible

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in welding within an industrial environment
• Is structured, responsible, and has a strong focus on quality
• Has good technical understanding and experience with reading drawings and metrology
• Thrives in a role that combines practical work with responsibility
• Has experience with quality systems and process improvements
• Is computer literate and handles documentation effortlessly
• Communicates fluently in Swedish and has basic English skills

Requirements:

• Workshop technical education or equivalent experience
• Experience with TIG, MAG, and orbital welding
• Competence equivalent to IWE, IWT, or IWS
• Experience with drilling, threading, and cutting
• Valid driver's license (Category B) and forklift/overhead crane certificates
• Fluent in Swedish (written and spoken)
• Capable of reading drawings and using metrology
• Good computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in VT-2 and/or PT-2
• Valid welding certificates in stainless steel
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma work
• Previous leadership responsibility in production
• Experience with the business system Monitor

For this position, you will also be required to provide a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) during the further process.
