At Bräcke Care and Nursing Home Västergården, you work closely with people in the midst of their lives, under 65 years old with cognitive illness, focusing on what gives content and meaning to everyday life. We are part of Bräcke Diakoni – an ideologically driven foundation working for a more humane society. We are now looking for a nursing assistant for a fixed-term temporary position.

Your Role

As a nursing assistant at Västergården, you meet people with cognitive illness in their daily lives. You are present in the daily routine, provide support where needed, and encourage residents to use their abilities as much as possible. Here, you will find colleagues who care, and we work structured together with residents and their relatives to provide each person with the support that suits them best.

Your responsibilities will include among other things:

• Create structure in daily life, with meals, rest, and community
• Participate in social activities such as games, exercise, and conversations
• Provide support with personal care
• Document matters that require follow-up
• Collaborate with colleagues, licensed staff, and relatives

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant and want to work closely with people with cognitive illness. You are secure and stable in your way of providing care, sensitive to the residents' needs, and can contribute with clarity when needed. You enjoy collaborating and believe it is important for the resident to be involved in their daily life.

Qualifications

• Education as a nursing assistant
• Experience in care work
• Experience working with people with cognitive illness
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Basic computer skills and experience with digital documentation
• Previous experience from care and nursing homes is meritorious
