As a Specialist Nurse Assistant (Specialistundersköterska) with us, you will have the opportunity to utilize your specialized competence to create value for our residents. Your tasks will be guided by the needs of the operations and aim to improve quality and drive improvement work.

Vegahusen nursing and care home consists of three building blocks, focusing on dementia and somatic care. Vegahusen has 138 apartments. We are currently looking for a total of three Specialist Nurse Assistants for our somatic ward.

In addition to the regular nurse assistant duties, your role as a Specialist Nurse Assistant includes mentoring and guiding your colleagues in care situations, interactions, and approaches based on person-centered care and support.

Together with the care coordinator, you also serve as support to the unit manager in daily supervision and operational development, and you are involved in the introduction of new employees.

Your working hours are scheduled across day, evening, and night shifts. Parts of your working days will be dedicated to the Specialist Nurse Assistant tasks.

Qualifications

• You are a trained Nurse Assistant (Undersköterska) and can provide the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's certificate for the protected professional title, or alternatively prove that you were employed as a Nurse Assistant when the new regulations were introduced.
• University College degree (YH) with at least 200 YH credits focused on care and support for the elderly.
• You should be well-acquainted with the requirements of daily work in a nursing and care home and have experience working within care and support services.
• Since communication and documentation are important parts of the job, you must have good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• You have experience with social documentation and working with quality registers.

You are driven and encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. You adapt your communication and interaction style to the recipient and the situation. Through convincing arguments, you can add enthusiasm and energy that encourages good performance, team spirit, and increased motivation.
