ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for an enthusiastic Music teacher for grades 7–9 to join our teaching team at Vintertullsskolan – a resource school for students with neuropsychiatric disabilities. As a teacher here, you will have the opportunity to work with students in need of special support in a smaller setting alongside experienced colleagues. You will work closely with school leadership, student health services, and fellow teachers to ensure every student reaches their full potential in their knowledge development.

The position is a permanent part-time role (25%). A probationary period applies. If you have additional qualifications in modern languages (German or French) or Home and Consumer Studies, there is an opportunity to expand the position.

ABOUT VINTERTULLSSKOLAN

Vintertullsskolan is one of Stockholm’s oldest resource schools and has been supporting students with neuropsychiatric disabilities, primarily autism spectrum disorders, for over 25 years.

At Vintertullsskolan, you work in small teaching groups where individual adaptation and student-centered work are the focus. Thanks to the high staff density, we can create a safe environment and offer support and care tailored to each student's unique needs. Here, you will become part of a knowledgeable and dedicated team with broad experience in special education and NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders).

Warmly welcome to Vintertullsskolan – the small school with great commitment!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching individually and together with colleagues in the teaching team.
  • Contribute materials for the student health service's work regarding the students in your teaching.
  • Document and follow up on students' knowledge development and assign grades.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • You are a qualified Music teacher for grades 7–9. Additional qualifications in modern languages (German or French) or Home and Consumer Studies are meritorious and may open up for an expanded working percentage.
  • You have basic special educational competence and work with adaptations and special support as a natural part of teaching.
  • You work systematically with planning, assessment, and grading.
  • You have basic knowledge of NPD and adapt teaching according to the student's prerequisites.
  • You are communicative and collaborate effectively with others both within and outside the organization.
  • You contribute to a good work environment characterized by security, care, and respect for both staff and students.

WHAT WE OFFER

At Vintertullsskolan, you become part of a team working together to best support each student's unique needs. In small teaching groups, you have the opportunity to develop your pedagogical skills and give more time to each individual student. Thanks to our school's small size, you also have the opportunity to actively participate in pedagogical development and help develop one of Sweden's leading resource schools.

OTHER INFORMATION

The application is subject to a background check, and you must provide a certificate of good conduct from the police before employment.
