About the workplace

Do you want to help build a key function in municipal healthcare? We are now looking for a Medically Responsible Person for Rehabilitation (MAR) in a joint initiative between Orust, Strömstad, and Tanum.

Your employment will be with Orust Municipality, but the role will be carried out in close collaboration between the three municipalities. Together, we are creating a shared MAR function focused on quality, patient safety, and development within rehabilitation and assistive devices.

You will work both strategically and operationally. The role involves contact with various operations, from specialized housing to home healthcare, providing a varied and developing work environment. You will collaborate closely with managers, licensed professionals, and the Medically Responsible Nurse (MAS).

We are currently in a setup phase. This means you will play a central role in shaping the working methods, structure, and content of the function's mandate. There are great opportunities to influence, contribute to shared learning between the municipalities, and develop primary care work.

We see collaboration as a strength – by working together, we create better conditions for quality, knowledge exchange, and long-term development in our operations.

Your responsibilities

This position is suitable for you who want to combine a strategic assignment with the opportunity to influence and develop future municipal rehabilitation in a broader context.

You will ensure that health-promoting and rehabilitative care follows national and local guidelines. This includes:

  • Conducting regular quality controls and follow-ups of rehabilitation processes
  • Handling and reporting deviations and incidents to improve care quality and patient safety
  • Acting as an expert in rehabilitation and assistive device issues
  • Supporting managers and licensed professionals in complex cases and during care transitions
  • Submitting reports to the Swedish Inspectorate for Health and Care (IVO)
  • Working in close collaboration with the MAS to create robust processes, clear working methods, and shared learning

The MAR reports to the sector manager and the responsible committee according to an agreed structure and participates in relevant MAR/MAS networks.

You will also work on:

  • Developing, updating, and implementing routines and guidelines
  • Monitoring and analyzing operational results and proposing development initiatives

About you

Your personal qualities are important to us. We are looking for someone who thrives in a strategic and development-oriented role where you can combine analysis, structure, and close collaboration with operations.

You are confident in your professional role and used to taking responsibility in complex issues. You have the ability to see the big picture and connections in operations and can turn knowledge and analysis into concrete improvements. With a clear and pedagogical working style, you build trust with managers and employees and contribute to a shared vision regarding quality and patient safety.

You have a genuine interest in development work and thrive in a role where much needs to be built and shaped. You work in a structured and independent manner, while recognizing the value of collaboration and actively contributing to shared learning between the municipalities.

We also look for someone who:

  • Has strong analytical skills and can draw conclusions from deviations, risks, and quality data
  • Is clear in communication and can adapt messages to different target groups
  • Has the courage to set demands while maintaining a supportive approach
  • Is driven by creating sustainable working methods with a focus on evidence, quality, and patient safety

Qualifications:

  • Licensed occupational therapist or physiotherapist
  • Experience in municipal primary care
  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in the field
  • Experience in quality and development work is meritorious
  • Experience in strategic roles or management support work is meritorious

Other information:

We offer:

  • A strategic key role
  • Close collaboration with the MAS
  • Option to choose a workplace within Orust, Strömstad, or Tanum
  • Option to work from an office in Gothenburg
  • Option to work in a collaborative organization between three municipalities
  • Opportunity to help shape the position
