Do you want to work in a team where cooking, care, and quality are in focus? Then we are looking for you for one of our preparation kitchens within the Service Office in Borås Municipality.

About the operations

The Service Office is Borås Municipality's internal basic resource for both technical and administrative services. We work in an efficient and business-like manner - without own budget allocation - where each assignment is performed and invoiced according to agreements. Around 450 engaged employees work here who make Borås function in everyday life. Among other things, we ensure that all employees in Borås Municipality receive their salaries, manage the city's IT infrastructure, operate and maintain utility networks, and ensure that our roads, lawns, and buildings are intact, safe, and well-maintained.

Job Description

As a chef with us, you will work with:

  • Cooking, salad preparation, baking, dishwashing & cleaning
  • Serving and cash handling
  • Orders, documentation, and self-control
  • Development work to improve routines and working environment
  • You will have a main placement, but the job includes being able to work in other kitchen units if needed.

We are looking for you who are a trained chef and want to contribute to a pleasant meal environment with good, well-cooked, and nutritious food. In addition to a rewarding job, we offer you among other things:

  • This is a full-time position, and a probationary period may apply.
  • The working hours are during the day, and some weekend work may occur.
Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • Education in restaurant and large-scale catering, or long professional experience in the field
  • Experience from large kitchens, as well as knowledge of special diets in the last 5 years.
  • Experience in personnel management during the last 5 years.
  • Good Swedish in speech and writing
  • Good computer skills (for work with orders, menus, self-control, etc.)
  • Driver's license

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Knowledge of HACCP, self-control, e-commerce, and diet data programs

As a person, you enjoy collaborating with others, are structured, responsible, and service-oriented. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
