Leksands Knäckebröd AB is the country's largest all-Swedish crispbread bakery, established as early as 1929. The company is family-owned and is today run by the fourth generation. We are proud to use only Swedish grain and to have a completely fossil-free production. With a total of 154 employees, we turned over 347 MSEK last year, corresponding to 25% of the market.

About the role:

As an Automation Engineer at Leksands Knäckebröd, you will have a broad and varied role at the heart of production. You will become an important part of the maintenance department and work closely with automation technicians, electricians, and project managers in a business where collaboration, responsibility, and lack of hierarchy are in focus.

In the role, you will work both operationally and strategically with automation and production development. Your days may consist of everything from troubleshooting and support in daily operations to driving smaller and larger projects related to renovations, process optimization, and modernization of older systems. You will be responsible for production control systems and PLC solutions, primarily within Siemens and Mitsubishi.

An important part of the job is also to contribute to the continued development of production by improving processes, updating systems, and ensuring structure around documentation. The role involves great freedom under responsibility, and you are expected to be able to drive projects forward independently while working closely together with colleagues in the team.

About you:

We are looking for you who are an experienced automation engineer with a good understanding of industrial production and technical processes. You have worked for a few years within automation and feel confident in PLC programming as well as troubleshooting in the field. You are used to driving technical projects from idea to implementation and have experience in project management.

To succeed in the role, we believe you are flexible, solution-oriented, and thrive in a daily life where conditions can change quickly. You are good at prioritizing, can handle multiple things at once, and enjoy combining practical work with long-term development work.

We would like you to have:

• Experience with PLC programming, preferably Siemens and/or Mitsubishi.
• Knowledge in electrical engineering.
• Experience with industrial projects and process development.
• Ability to work structured with documentation and drawings.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
• Experience with CAD tools.
