Palliative Care Unit seeks Specialist Physician for Southern Hälsingland
The Palliative Care Unit is part of the Oncology business area and consists of four teams in Gävleborg working with specialized palliative care. We are a multiprofessional team working together to provide the best possible quality of life for patients and their relatives. Together with your medical colleagues and the rest of the team, you are responsible for palliative care in southern Hälsingland, which involves working in both Bollnäs and Söderhamn, with Bollnäs as the primary workplace. At our unit, we work closely together across team boundaries to create security for both patients and employees. Job Responsibilities
As a specialist physician with us, you will work, together with the rest of the team, to relieve symptoms, improve quality of life, and provide support to patients with life-threatening illnesses and their relatives. Working hours are daytime Monday to Friday, along with participation in weekend duty (daytime) with telephone on-call availability.
As a specialist physician with us, you will:
- make home visits together with a nurse and/or the team's counselor
- handle medical technical equipment, such as ultrasound, and perform simple procedures at home based on knowledge and competence
- provide telephone advice and information to patients and relatives, and work in close cooperation with home healthcare services
- serve as a consultant to primary care and hospitals as well as the municipality's home healthcare

We collaborate and have internal training within our own unit. There is also the opportunity to participate in the ST course in palliative medicine that we arrange twice a year. Qualifications

In the role of specialist physician, you must:
- be a licensed specialist physician with permission to work in Swedish healthcare
- hold a B-driver's license
It is meritorious if you are specialized in palliative medicine.
