Stockholm – our capital city filled with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
Blackebergsskolan is located in a beautiful natural area in Bromma, close to water, nature, and with good transport connections. The school has around 390 students in grades F-6. We have relatively small classes and a high staff density. We work purposefully to constantly improve our operations with a focus on pedagogical work in the classroom and the development of after-school centers. We participate in both large and small teaching-related research-based projects.
Your role
Together with Blackebergsskolan's professional educators, you will develop the operations to be the very best for our students. You will be part of a team of teachers and educators working with groups in grade 5 as a subject teacher and mentor. You need to be able to teach in a varied way and be flexible with different teaching methods. We work purposefully with joint professional development. The joint training plan is based on current research and is decided by the pedagogical leadership group consisting of our lead teachers, deputy principals, and principal.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades 4–6, with a requirement for qualification in Social Studies (SO).
You have the ability to design teaching in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into students' results and needs, and structure and adapt your teaching so that a safe and adequate learning environment is created. You involve the student in the planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We would like you to find it easy to join a new group and be warm but clear in your way of leading yourself and being relational with students. You work for a good working climate and are responsive and structured as a teacher. You plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze your lesson structure as well as other tasks included in your role in an effective way. You have a good view of the student and in contact with guardians, you work to create trusting relationships. The position also includes mentoring, development talks, and contact with guardians.
